Let us Introduce Ourselves!

We are Karl, Leah and Oz Wolf. We love to travel internationally on and off the beaten path. For us, it’s not only an opportunity to pursue some of the best adventures in the world, it’s also an opportunity to connect to a broader community and learn more about other cultures. We hope to share information that is beneficial to your own pursuits of happiness, exploration and/or adventure in blogs, photographs and trip reports.

Our Mission

For us, this trip is not only an opportunity to relax and recharge. It’s also an opportunity to broaden our horizons and learn from different cultural perspectives. We’re looking forward to incorporating what we learn on this trip into our future personal and professional lives.

Karl

Aside from being an avid adventurer, athlete and photographer, Karl is also a consultant who helps companies develop, launch and manage innovative products and services that improve people’s lives. During their journey, Karl is looking forward to continuing to discover his authenticity, intuition and originality by connecting with, photographing and writing about amazing people and places of Mexico, Central America and South America.

Leah

Leah is a former musician in her second career as a psychotherapist. She is passionate about the psychology of anger and trauma. During their journey, Leah is exploring and writing about how different cultures view, manage and/or experience anger and grief. She is interested in all cultural perspectives with regard to mental health and wellbeing. She is particularly curious about indigenous cultural views.

Oz

Oz is a 2 year-old tri-colored Australian Shepherd. His biggest “pet” peeve is flying insects – especially flies. During their journey Oz plans to deepen his relationship with all species and to become One with the fly. He is also psyched to see his first llama and penguin, and to swim in the ocean for the first time!

Sif & Thor

Sif and Thor together are our home on wheels. Our camper is “Sif” in honor of the Norse Goddess of the earth. Our truck is “Thor” the God of protection and strength. In Norse mythology Sif and Thor are married. During their journey Sif and Thor plan to protect and provide a home abundant with love and adventure.

What a wonderful trip. While in the Yucatan, there are lots of cenote, caves and underground rivers. Check out
The Ek Balaam ruins near Chicken Itza. They are small but have a great example of carved and painted decoration recently uncovered. Valladolid is a beautiful town where the Mexican revolution began. Merida is a large colonial city with beautiful architecture but may be a bit tame for you. For info check Yucatantoday.com.
