Picking Up Our Rig Pt. 2

Picking Up Our Rig Pt. 2

After sitting in the “Bardo” for almost a year after placing our order, we are finally going to pick up our rig, “Sif & Thor!”

In some schools of Buddhismbardo (Tibetan བར་དོ་ Wylie: bar do) or antarabhāva (Sanskrit) is an intermediate, transitional, or liminal state between death and rebirth. ~ Wikipedia

Our trip is finally becoming a reality, and it has truly felt like a gestation process.

Sif & Thor: Born 10-18-2018

In Norse mythologySif (/siːf/)[1] is a goddess associated with earth. Scholars have proposed that Sif’s hair may represent fields of golden wheat, that she may be associated with fertility, family, wedlock… She is the wife of the Norse God, Thor.  In Germanic mythologyThor (/θɔːr/; from Old NorseÞórr) is a hammer-wielding god associated with thunderlightningstormsoak trees, strength, the protection of mankind, and also hallowing and fertility. ~ Wikipedia

Stay Tuned!

Departure date is set for October 21st, 2018 on Karl’s birthday. What a gift!

In early 2018 we decided to pursue an expedition from Boulder, CO to Ushuaia Patagonia over the course of the year beginning in November, 2018. Our goal for the trip include continuing to discover our dreams and passions and to pursue some of the best adventures in the world. We are calling this journey, “Mission from Pachamama” in honor of the Earth Goddess revered by the indigenous peoples of the Andes.
